Faces break apart into fragments, stories unfold in the space between contrasts and framing pushes quietly against the usual rules of what a portrait should be.

Muted monochromes settle like soft rain, sudden bursts of surreal color flash like a memory and textures rise up almost tangible letting me dismantle human expression only to build it back again in a new shape. I am less interested in capturing a perfect likeness than in the atmosphere that surrounds it. The tension held in a glance, the weight of silence hanging between words, the quiet story hidden in the space between one breath and the next.
